Frequently asked questions
The list of Best Workplaces is based on the Trust Index employee survey. For multinationals, the Culture Audit also counts. The ranking is based on the Great Place To Work For All formula.
Multinationals are also assessed on their commitment to creating good workplaces in multiple countries in the region.
A place among Europe's Best Workplaces starts with a spot on the Dutch list of Best Workplaces.
Organizations that fall into the small, medium or large category qualify for the European list if they are nationally recognized as a Best Workplace on one or more of the lists in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Multinationals must be recognized as Best Workplace on at least three national lists. Multinationals have at least 1,000 employees worldwide with at least 40% (or 5,000) of those employees located outside the headquarters country.
Europe's Best Workplaces are usually announced in September.
